Here, you will learn everything you need to know about creating an NFT collection on Flip, step by step.
Step 1 — Describe your collection
This first step invites you to describe your collection using keywords.
You can be vague or very specific — it all depends on your inspiration!
For example, you can write "woman samurai" if you want your collection to represent a variation of female samurai with Japanese inspirations.
But you can also describe your collection more precisely by writing "A powerful woman samurai standing confidently, wearing traditional Edo-period samurai armor adapted for a female warrior..."
It's up to you!
Step 2 — Pick a style
Flip allows you to customize your collection to your liking with several styles to choose from. Your choice will influence what your collection looks like.
We plan to gradually add new styles in the future!
Choice 1: 2D or 3D — Your first choice will be whether you want your collection to be in 2D or 3D.
Choice 2: Cartoon or Anime — Your second choice will be whether you want your collection to feature a Cartoon or Anime style.
Step 3 — Set a supply
Now it's time to decide the size of your collection — how many NFTs do you want it to have?
This step will determine the credit cost of your collection. If you choose 100, your collection will cost you 100 credits. Don't worry, you can change the size of your collection later if you change your mind.
The minimum supply for a collection is 100 and the maximum supply is 1000.
At this step, clicking NEXT will cost you 3 credits, as Flip will generate 3 sample images for your collection so you can validate its style.
Step 4 — Choose a sample
Once the images have finished loading, you will choose the image you prefer.
This image will be the base of your collection, from which the other images will be derived. In other words, you are choosing the default image of your collection that will be used to generate variants.
If you can't make up your mind, you can generate more images by clicking LOAD MORE (3 CREDITS). It will cost you 3 credits as Flip will generate 3 additional images.
Select an image and click NEXT.
Step 5 — Collection details
This final step invites you to enter your collection details:
Name: give your collection a name
Ticker: choose a ticker for your collection
Description (optional): add a description to your collection
Supply: confirm the size of your collection
Pre-mint (coming soon): this option allows you to purchase NFTs from your collection before it is even deployed. This lets you secure those NFTs at the lowest price on the Bonding Curve before other users buy them, allowing you to resell them at a higher price.
You will no longer be able to edit the name and ticker of your collection once it has been deployed on-chain.
Once done, click GENERATE COLLECTION.
By clicking GENERATE COLLECTION, you will automatically spend the number of credits corresponding to your collection's supply. If you chose a supply of 100, it will cost you 100 credits.
